William Pilch began creating art in the third grade, discovering early on a lifelong fascination with image-making and expression. In his thirties, he formalized that passion by earning a degree in Fine Art, later continuing his creative journey through teaching and mentorship.
Rooted in traditional painting, William gradually developed a distinctive painterly collage style that blends classical technique with experimentation. He was an early explorer of digital art, integrating the emerging tools of early Photoshop with hands-on collage, mixed media, and traditional materials. This fusion of analog and digital processes became a defining characteristic of his work.
William’s work has been described as eclectic and immersive — incorporating found objects, acrylic sculptural elements, abstraction, and layered collage. Whether covering large walls or intimate surfaces, his pieces explore deeper themes of life, memory, movement, and transformation.
